Main uses of ferric chloride

It is mainly used for metal etching and sewage treatment. Etching includes etching of copper, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials. It has the advantages of good effect and low price for the treatment of raw water with low oil content, but has the disadvantage of yellowing water color. It is also used for printing and dyeing cylinder engraving, electronic industrial circuit board and fluorescent digital cylinder production. The construction industry is used to prepare concrete to enhance its strength, corrosion resistance and water resistance. It can also be mixed with ferrous chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, hydrochloric acid, etc. to form a waterproof agent for clay, which is used in the inorganic industry to manufacture other iron salts and inks. The dyestuff industry is used as an oxidant in the dyeing of indocyanin dyes. The printing and dyeing industry is used as a mordant. Metallurgical industry is used as a chlorination agent for extracting gold and silver. Organic industry is used as catalyst, oxidant and chlorination agent. The glass industry is used as a hot colorant for glassware. The soap industry is used as a coagulant for the recovery of glycerol from soap waste liquor.

Another important use of ferric chloride is metal etching, etching products such as glasses frames, clocks and watches, electronic components, signs and nameplates.
