Feed grade fumaric acid and its esters are used as acid preservatives to improve the palatability and utilization of feed. The consumption structure of fumaric acid in China is roughly: polyester resin 35%, paper sizing resin 30%, food additive 20%, feed additive 10%, other 5%. Due to the wide application of fumaric acid, its demand has increased in recent years, and the output has increased year by year, but there is still a large gap between the supply and demand in the domestic and foreign markets.
