The synthetic method of diacetone acrylamide

There are four main methods for industrial synthesis of DAAM:

1) Using acrylamide and diacetone alcohol as raw materials, heteropolyacid or cation exchange resin as catalyst;

2) Using acrylamide and isopropylidene alcohol as raw materials, heteropolyacid or cation exchange resin as catalyst;

3) Using acetone and acrylonitrile as raw materials, concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst;

4) Using diacetone and acrylonitrile as raw materials and concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst.

Among them, the third process has more industrial applications.
